Dr. Carl Turner, PhD, holds an MA in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent at Canterbury and a PhD in Politics from the University of Hull where his thesis was a comparative study of nationalist terrorism using conflict theory. Carl’s research interests are conflict analysis and resolution theory, terrorism studies, and international conflict analysis and resolution. He has previously appeared on BBC Look North and BBC Radio Humberside and works independently for CARIS. Cases covered for CARIS include conflicts in Ukraine, Syria, Mozambique, Cameroon, and the Central Sahel.
